Born in Havana, Cuba, 1976
Lives and works in Madrid, Spain
With a background in dance, Glenda is an artist who trusts the divine elevation of music, developing her visual work aesthetically responding to sound, yet not music, travelling through dimensions, shaping sound visually relating to parts of ourselves that can not be described. The artist has created music boxes translating braille into notes and scores, or adding flowers to typewriter heads. Glenda’s inspiration comes from the movement between time and sound and the contrast with the static element of visual art, is an attempt to investigate the interstice between sound and silence, between the instant and eternity to find inner silence and balance.
